Piacé le radieux, Bézard – Le Corbusier is an art centre dedicated to architecture, design and contemporary art. A place of reflection and research on the territory and local heritage, it is also a place of dissemination and promotion of contemporary creation. It is located in Piacé (between Le Mans and Alençon), a small village in La Sarthe that was the subject of an architectural project in the 1930s by Le Corbusier (1887-1965) and Norbert Bézard (1896-1956). An exhibition tells the story of this project. Piacé the radiant also invites artists, architects, designers to explore the links between modernity and rurality. A route with some forty works (micro-architectures, sculptures, installations, etc.) is accessible all year round in the village and the surrounding countryside.
