The abbey of Chancelade trains(forms) a set(group) including, besides the church, the said home of Bourdeilles (parsonage), the front-door, the buildings(ships) of common(shared), the home the XVIIth century, the old(former) mill, the home of the abbot, the terraces and gardens. The church is a Romanic building, of very retouched(altered), cross-shaped plan; the nave possesses five spans, vaulted of ogives in 1630; crossing is vaulted of a dome on pendants; a sacristy of the XVIIth century is joined with the chorus(choir); a square bell tower surmounts(overcomes) the crossing of the transept; indoors, stalls date the first half of the XVIIth century. The chapel Saint Jean was dedicated in 1147; it is vaulted vaulted broken and possesses a vaulted semicircular apse there cul-de-four. The said home of Bourdeilles is stuck on the northwest angle of the church; he(it) dates the XVth century, but was strongly touched again the XVIIth century. The common(shared) were located on the West of the abbey: they understand(include) a cuvier, a cellar, a home and a mill. The cuvier is a large building of the XVth century, vaulted in the XVIth century of a lowered cradle. East of the abbey, a said home of the abbot lengthens(stretches out) which a part(party) dates the XIIIth century; the set(group) was rebuilt in the XVIIIth century.
