A woodland walk to showcase Irish natural heritage. Join the Native Woodland Trust for a visit to their Ardan Wood nature reserve near Kilbeggan Co Westmeath.

Irish heritage is deeply connected to our natural landscape that both tells and inspires stories across the generations. This woodland walk is dedicated to the heritage week theme of how we may conserve our living heritage.

We'll learn more about what makes Ardan Wood so special; the plants and creatures who make it their home, the fascinating history of this old woodland, as well as its bright future!

What to bring:
Hiking boots essential
Warm and waterproof clothing in layers
Plenty water, snacks and a packed lunch if you'd like to enjoy that at the end with others
Flask with a warm drink if you would like
Any medications you might require on your person
Tea, coffee and biscuits provided. If you have a reusable coffee cup, please bring this along with you in order to save on waste.
