Overview

Around 1050, Lord Brient built his first castle on this rocky promontory. In 1490, Françoise de Dinan and Jean de Laval had a Renaissance residence built and gardens laid out. Both a medieval fortress and a Renaissance building, Châteaubriant castle tells the story of ten centuries of history.

- For this major annual event, free guided tours (20 minutes) are available throughout the weekend. And don't be surprised if, on Saturday, contemporary dancers join you on some of the tours for a journey full of surprises. Let yourself be transported by the choreography of Stéphanie Gaillard, Mathilde Maire, Arthur Gautier, Maxime Herviou and Jimmy Monneron from Compagnie Lo, who will blend in with the talks given by the heritage mediators.
