guided tour of Saint-Marin de Brômes
Labelled village and city of character, Saint-Martin de Brômes has a particularly rich and varied heritage. Alongside the church of Saint-Martin from the 12th and 14th centuries, richly decorated with paintings by Esprit-Michel Gibelin; the 14th century clock tower dominates the village bathed by the Colostrum. You will discover an amazing jubilee cross, a lavatory, a fountain dating from 1845, adorning a pretty typically Provencal square. You will linger in front of the studio of Enrico Campagnola, painter and sculptor. In the narrow and flowery alleys, you will learn about the history of the families of Castellane d'Allemagne and Payan de Saint-Martin who owned the seigneury of Saint-Martin. You will discover the amazing lintels of door of the Grand-Rue. However, due to the work on the tower, the Gallo-Roman museum is not currently visited.
