En Euskal Herria existen creencias sobre animales y vegetales ligadas a costumbres ancestrales. Pero, ¿conocemos todas esas tradiciones que forman parte de la cultura? En el pasado se consideraban sagrados algunos animales y plantas y muchas de sus peculiaridades y usos han permanecido hasta la actualidad. Usaban la naturaleza para darle un significado sagrado, por ejemplo “eguzki-lorea” (la flor del sol) es un símbolo tradicional de los caseríos vascos. Durante la visita al museo conoceremos algunas de las tradiciones.

In the Basque Country there are beliefs about animals and plants linked to ancestral customs. But, do we know all these traditions that are part of the culture? In the past, some animals and plants were considered sacred and many of their peculiarities and uses have remained until today. They used nature to give it a sacred meaning, for example "eguzki-lorea" (the flower of the sun) is a traditional symbol of Basque farmhouses. During the visit to the museum we will learn about some of the traditions.
