Las Salinas están declaradas  Bien de Interés Cultural, en la categoría de Conjunto de Interés Cultural, Lugar de Interés Etnográfico por el DECRETO 188/2010, de 19 de octubre, del Gobierno de Aragón.

En la declaración se estable que Las Salinas fueron visitadas el  30 de septiembre de 1259 por el Rey Jaime I de Aragón, El Conquistador.

Desde el año 2019 se realiza la conmemoración de la visita, este año 2023 se celebrará el  764 aniversario, la actividad tendrá lugar  el domingo 1 de octubre, a las 11:30h tendrá lugar una visita guiada gratuita, recibiendo las 20 primeras personas que acudan vestidas con indumentaria propia de la época medieval un regalo exclusivo de la Fundación Reales Salinas de Arcos de las Salinas, además se celebrará una actividad 100% gratuita de Geocaching para toda la familia y habrá actividades para el público infantil como globoflexia y se harán juegos tradicionales típicos de Aragón.

Las Salinas are declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, in the category of Complex of Cultural Interest, Place of Ethnographic Interest by DECREE 188/2010, of October 19, of the Government of Aragon.
