The former Thermal Centre of the second half of the 18th century is, after the bishopric, the largest in the city. Its «T» plan makes its originality: the large facade of the main body occupies an entire side of the former Place d'Armes, now Place Boué de Lapeyrère. The court of honor is to the north, that of the commons was to the south. Note the elegant merlons that adorn the fence wall on Rue Nationale and dare to push the door of the establishment to admire the beautiful stone staircase with wrought iron railing. In 1938, the building became the boarding school for girls of the municipal college opposite, maliciously named «Gardeil House» after a biscuit maker from Lectoure. The fire station took place in the courtyard of the commons in the second half of the 20th century. In 2003, this space became the swimming pool of the spa establishment created thanks to the efforts of the city and the General Council. The water extracted at 42° comes from a well in the valley. It is sulphated
