The Grand Lodge of Antient Free and Accepted Masons of Scotland is the governing body of Scottish Freemasonry, founded in 1736 and headquartered in Freemasons’ Hall, 96 George Street. Edinburgh.
This historic, elegant building is steeped in the history of Scottish Freemasonry throughout the world.
Feel free to enjoy the grand design of Freemasons’ Hall with its elegant stairway under a beautiful gilded dome and the spectacular Grand Hall. Visit our unique library and museum of Scottish Freemasonry. Let us tell you the story of Freemasonry and the history of the role of The Grand Lodge of Scotland, and its continuing work, within communities in Edinburgh, Scotland and Internationally.
Full access to the entire ‘public areas’ of our building – including the Grand Hall, the Grand Committee Room, the Museum and Library
There will be Grand Lodge staff located throughout the building to explain any part of the building and answer any questions on the good works of freemasons.
