Trinity House is home to a treasure trove of fascinating maritime memorabilia. Once the headquarters of the Incorporation of Mariners and Shipmasters, today visitors can explore an eclectic mix of artworks, navigational equipment, and curiosities collected by sailors from Leith throughout the centuries and from all the corners of the globe.
As part of Edinburgh Doors Open Day Weekend and Maths Week Scotland, Trinity House will be throwing open its doors and welcoming you to this wonderful gem of Leith. The house will be open for self-led tours and there will be drop in crafts and activities suitable for all ages available throughout the day.

Trinity House has no car park. The car park for users of the Kirkgate Shopping Centre, behind Trinity House, is level tarmac and has three accessible bays. Free parking is limited to 90 minutes, after which a charge applies.
Assistance dogs are permitted at all our sites and within roofed areas. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and not left unattended. A no fouling rule applies at all our sites. Visitors' dogs are not permitted at Trinity House.
The main entrance to the house is up three wide stone steps. There is a ramped side entrance with a gradient of 1:10 (its lower section is 1:12). Please note that we are currently facing issues with the wheelchair ramp, which is primarily impacting electric wheelchair access. If you are a wheelchair user, please contact us in advance to discuss your access requirements.
Disabled access to the ground floor of the house only. To access the first floor, visitors need to climb a carpeted staircase of 22 even steps and to access the vaults, there are 9 stone steps to get down.
There are steps throughout the site. A video and guides to the collection are available on the ground floor for those unable to access the first floor.
