Ashfield, the Edinburgh Trades Fund building, houses a collection of artefacts pertaining to the ancient Incorporated Trades of Edinburgh. These were the artisan classes involved in the governance of the city and its development over centuries. This was originally centred within the Old Town but then they were highly influential in the development of the Edinburgh New Town.
Our charity has been helping young people since 1704.

There are steps up to the front door and a high doorstep. There is no lift nor ramp. Once inside the rooms are on one level and mostly accessible by wheelchair. The toilet doors and layout are not wheelchair friendly.
