Forgotten Lives: The story of the County Clare mother and baby home is a book by local historian Rita McCarthy. It tells the little known story of the County Clare Nursery a mother and baby home for County Clare which operated from 1922 to 1932 in part of what had been Kilrush workhouse. The book is a memorial to the many women and children who spent time in the institution and the infants and young children who died there.
