Exhibition "From field to plate"
Do you know how the inhabitants of Kochersberg were dressed at the end of the 19th century? You of course know the famous black headdress, the red or green skirt protected by an embroidered apron for the lady, and the black pants accompanied by a red vest for the gentleman, not to mention the black hat. On Sundays and feast days, people would indeed dress like this in the Kochersberg. But during the week, to cook, work in the field or in the workshop when one was a craftsman, how did one dress? The exhibition "From field to plate", thanks to staging inspired by paintings of Henri Loux, you will discover halettes, dresses, aprons, clogs and other clothes worn daily in our countryside. Henri Loux, an Alsatian watercolourist, was inspired by these everyday costumes to decorate the Obernai table service, which for decades has dominated the Alsatian tables on Sundays. Dishes and clothes will thus dialogue to evoke another era. An exhibition on the cultural objects of the Kochersberg will also be proposed: click here. Accessibility
