Guided visit.
From the varied educational heritage of Barakaldo, the following have been chosen six significant examples located in the most central area of municipality. We will walk between the neighbourhoods of Zaballa and San Vicente, going back to the years 1911-1954. Some buildings were built as an asylum, orphanage, slaughterhouse or political headquarters, but a timely rehabilitation turned them into educational centres. In other cases, the initial intention was to offer training to children and young people, and this is still being done in 2020.
