Overview

Outdoor Palaeolithic art is different from the perspective of support and solar constant to art in shelters and deep caves. Carlos Vázquez Marcos will give a talk on this "art that escaped from the caves". Carlos Vázquez Marcos has a degree in History from the University of Salamanca and is currently working on his doctoral thesis entitled "The end of the Palaeolithic graphic cycle in the Iberian Peninsula on parietal supports". He was a technician and guide at the Siega Verde archaeological site. His research career in Prehistory and Archaeology has focused on the study of Palaeolithic and post-Palaeolithic wall art in the open air. He is the author of numerous articles and books on this subject.
