Overview

Exhibition and guided tour.

The current CIFP Emilio Campuzano LHII conserves notable heritage assets of the memorable Bilbao School of Arts and Crafts, founded in 1879 in the former Colegio de San Andrés, the current seat of the Basque Museum-Euskal Museoa. Promoted by Pablo de Alzola y Minondo, aimed to train artists and workers with the qualifications demanded by the accelerated industrialisation of Bizkaia.

To the branches in the 1880-81 academic year, the industrial and artistic
Elementary and Teaching for Women, with a specific curriculum. In 1910 he was transferred to the Hospital de los Santos Juanes in Atxuri.

Copies of frescoes and classic paintings, portraits of benefactors,
Magnificent office furniture, all made by former students, machinery for graphic arts and other trades, books, photos and plans..., are some of the heritage assets that may be visited and enjoyed in these days.
