Farewell of souls
Throughout Christmas, the Cuadrillas de Ánimas, presided over by the banner with the painting of the Virgin of Carmen, a lawyer from Purgatory, goes through the different streets and districts of the town, house by house. When we approach to each one of them the brother who carries the bag for the alms asks if it is touched or not, some
families do not want music for the recent loss of a loved one and to be in mourning, in case the brother is touched, it is played three or four couplets and the "farewell" are played.
On Three Kings Day the final stage begins in the Chapel of "La Milagrosa" and then the streets are walked near the parish church. On this day all the members of the gangs join in one and go adding up the people of the village. When you arrive at the parish, the group is situated at the foot of the High Altar and the "despedía", which is sung in two different parts, the first with a couplets of the prayers made by the souls in purgatory to be rescued and a second one in which we ask the saints to thank them end the sufferings of these souls by ending with "goodbyes".
