Overview

We had a history- project, in which we studied how prehistoric people used to live. We were interested especially in rock and cave paintings. We researched the cave paintings in Lascaux and the rock paintings in Astuvansalmi.  We did a study trip to the rock paintings in Astuvansalmi which is situated in Ristiina, some 50 km from our school. We had a lecturer at our school and she told us more about prehistory of our area. We also did our own rock paintings and clay pottery using prehistoric methods. This video tells about Astuvansalmi rock paintings, and generally what history and cultureheritage means to us.
