Overview

I am Albina Suli. I live in the Republic of North Macedonia. I love my country, I love Skopje, I love the old Bazaar, the Stone Bridge, I love Ohrid and its lake. I love all parts of my state. The city of Ohrid is one of the 28 countries that are part of the UNESCO world heritage. He amazes with his beauty. Rome has its colosseum, Paris has its Notre-Dame cathedral, Athens has its old parts, while Skopje has its old Bazaar. That's why I chose to paint the Bazaar of my city, I want you to feel the beautiful Bazaar of the city as it is, I want you to see how it is a day in my city. In my work I purposely used small dots of harmonic tones that dance on the sheet. Tones are golden, the Bazaar is golden. Tones, dots of colors in my work are the sounds of old Bazaar.

The dots I used want to show its noise even if there are no people The bazaar itself sings with its parts, where it is like a puzzle. It is formed by windows and small shops, it is formed by cobblestones and small stones, where from many parts a beautiful Bazaar is created that amazes the people of the world. For the painting style, I was inspired by the artist Vincent Van Gogh with his work "A summer evening in the city", while my work is called "Midday in the city".

The city of Skopje and its Bazaar is the epicenter of the country, so with this cultural heritage I want to represent my country to you. I want every foreigner who comes to my country to visit the Bazaar, I want you to see it from my work, I don't want to lose the Bazaar, I don't want to change its appearance, because it represents us. From many small points, from many warm and golden tones, I have created a painting from many small parts, a Bazaar has been created.Every stone, every cobblestone, every small shop carries a story, it shows that every person passes through here. That's why I love the Bazaar of my city, I love Skopje, I was born and live here, so with this painting I share with you the beauty that my eyes see every day in my country.
