Overview

In this video we told the story of folklore in Molise, in particular of "The dragons of Molise" and "Il tollocco Molise". All this was possible thanks to the precious testimony of Bruno Cerimele, an active member of the folk group from Agnone (IS). Initially we told the story of these two groups, one born in 1986 and the other in 1987, then we moved on to the history of the costumes and headgear, a very expensive and sought-after piece, and finally we talked about the Agnonese dialect vocabulary and two songs very well known at the time, these are the “Cuetra Maje” and the “Thomma bella Thamma”. It was a great experience also because we encountered traditions and customs that we didn't know before. We participated to raise awareness of our town, namely Agnone, which is also a candidate for the Capital of Italian Culture 2026. This project was created by five kids from the Giovanni Paolo I scientific high school in Agnone, in particular Carlotta Monaco, Kristel Marcovecchio, Antonia Lomastro, Nicolò Di Pietro and Andrea Longo.
