Overview

Wine is considered the oldest beverage in the world. The earliest findings of grape use have a history spanning thousands of years. It is also considered a divine drink. Winemaking is developed in many countries, but in my opinion, its homeland is Armenia, because when Noah descended from Ararat, he planted the first grapevine, and the place was called Araratyan.

Wine is also our national drink. In my view, its history began in Armenia and then spread throughout the world. We all inherited this from our ancestors. Now, we are the heirs of traditional winemaking, which is why I chose this topic. Vineyards have always been one of the most beautiful landscapes of nature for me. When my father took me to the grapevines, I could not take my eyes off their tiny clusters and intricate leaves.

Wine and winemaking have always been mentioned on the centuries-old pages of Armenian history. Winemaking is our heritage, the centuries-old traditions of which we must preserve, develop, and pass on to future generations.
