Overview

Hello! My name is Rameen, and I want to introduce you to my friend, Phung. Together, we worked on a project about Suolijärvi  and Ahvenisjärvi, which are in Tampere, Finland. We chose these places because it shows how Finnish people are deeply connected to nature. We took photos of the lakes and the forests around, to show their beauty and serenity.

These are not just lakes; these are places where people come to relax, exercise, and spend time with their families, as we both  did as well. These  places are used  to take walks, swim, or just sit and enjoy the peace. There are many hiking trails around the lakes, and people often come here to exercise or go for a swim.

One thing we found really interesting is the idea that in Finland, everyone has the right to enjoy nature freely, walk in the forests, and swim in the lakes, without asking anyone for permission. This is a big part of Finnish culture, showing how much they care about keeping nature open for everyone.

Suolijärvi  and Ahvenisjärvi are perfect example of this, where everyone, young and old come to enjoy the outdoors. We also saw lakeside saunas near Suolijärvi. Saunas are a very important part of Finnish culture. People like to relax in a hot sauna and then jump into a cold lake, even in winter. Even I love the sauna. It has so many health benefits.

There are open gyms at suolijärvi and ahevenisjärvi, where people can exercise and fresh up their body and mind. Going to lakes enjoying the peace and nature, watching ducks swimming in water and coming out of it, squirrels jumping on trees and spending time with friends and family make us happy and connect us to the culture and heritage.

In Finland nature is  valued a lot.  Places like Suolijärvi and Ahvenisjärvi clean and beautiful so that everyone is free to enjoy them. We hope our video has shown the beauty  and simplicity  of  Finnish culture. For us, it is a real treasure where we meet nature and enjoy.
