Overview

It is a lapbook about Christmas traditions in Spain, and in particular about Extremadura. It is divided into different parts, first traditions in general in Spain (the Christmas tree and the nativity scene) then celebrations (The Three Wise Men, New Year’s Day, etc.) later important dates and explanation of these important dates, such as Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, etc.and finally, the most important places to visit in Extremadura at Christmas, like  the nativity scene in Villar de Rena, the Christmas market in Cáceres and the Christmas lightning in Trujillo.

We have followed different steps to elaborate this lapbook:

  • First, we have looked for information on the Internet about the nativity in Villar de Rena, Cáceres Christmas market, The Three Wise Men, etc.

  • Then we have selected some pictures on the Internet that best represent these places, celebrations and traditions and printed them.

  • Later, we have divided the different tasks among the different members of the group. Some have written the information on the sheets, others have written the capital letters at the top and the bold letters in the different sections.

  • Next, we have organized the information and decided where the information goes.

  •  Finally, we have cut and pasted all the pieces of paper with the Christmas tradition information.
