Overview

The Kujawsko-Pomorskie Marshal Office www.kujawsko-pomorskie.pl  along with regional  partners:

  • - Wyższa Szkoła Gospodarki/ WSG Bydgoszcz University
  • - Primary School nr 4 in the town of  Chełmno

implemented ambitious project dedicated to creative interpretation of gothic churches in Chełmno area in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region. 72 gothic churches in the above area are unique pearls of medieval heritage in Poland and beyond. The aim of the project was to enhance young people to learn on treasures of gothic architecture, to network and promote this heritage in the country and abroad.

13 young people from the Primary School nr 4 from the town of Chełmno was a target group directly involved in creative exploration of gothic heritage.

 The project was implemented in the following way:

  1. Sightseeing of selected medieval churches with workshops on medieval architecture in villages and communes of Wabcz, Lisewo, Papowo Biskupie, Trzebcz Szlachecki, Wielkie Czyste in September 2024;
  2. Lecture on construction of medieval churches in the town of Chełmno in October 2024;
  3. Workshop on thermal imaging with thermal cameras with special focus on adaptation to climate changes in the town of Chełmno in October 2024;
  4. Workshop "Program Autocad in description o historic monuments" in the town of Chełmno in October 2024;
  5. Workshop "Drama exploration together with Agrafka Theater - "If fara was a human" in the town of Chełmno in October 2024;
  6. Workshop and animation film making "Alien Abduction - the gothic style".

The project has been promoted through social media of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region, Wyższa Szkoła Gospodarki along with the Primary School nr 4 in Chełmno.
