We are from Latvian city of Jelgava and we would like show you story about Cultural Heritage in Latvia and Ukraine through Dance, Song and Nature.

Latvia and Ukraine are two worlds that inspire us and provide a profound sense of unity with their rich cultures.  

In 2022, our lives were divided into "before" and "after." Now, we have begun a new chapter, where we found the Ukrainian cultural center **Dzherelo** in Jelgava. Here, we have the opportunity to develop culturally through dance, singing, and exploring Latvian culture.  

Ukrainian dances captivate with their energy and passion. **Hopak** and cheerful **horovody** (circle dances) — each dance fills the space with life and joy. We have always admired how emotions are conveyed through movement, from joy to heroism. Ukrainian songs, in turn, touch the depths of the soul. Lyrical and vibrant, they celebrate nature, love, and the strength of spirit. These melodies always remind us of our roots, the endless steppes, the blue skies, and the golden fields of our homeland.  

At the **Dzherelo** Ukrainian cultural center in Jelgava, we have also joyfully explored Latvian culture and its unique cultural heritage, distinguished by its subtle harmony with nature. Latvian dances, such as those performed during the rhythmic **Dziesmu Svētki** (Song Festival),
