Overview

In the heart of our hometown - Prilep, our homeland among the narrow streets of the Old Bazaar, our Clock Tower proudly rises, one of the most famous symbols of the city. It is not only an architectural monument, but also a witness to centuries of history, of joys and sorrows, of first loves, of changes and continuity, is what is not in that timeless. The Clock Tower is part of the identity of Prilep, part of the life of all of us and part of our collective memory of the city.

As we mentioned in the video, the Clock House has existed since 1858, where until then on that location, in place of an old wooden clock house that burned down in the great fire of 1858, which affected the damage of 1858. Talimche and Petre Lauco, our city, the same place where each of us begins to live again with his brightest point.

You can see in the video that there is a fountain, and above the entrance door there is an inscription in Arabic letters. The clock marks the ticking, which is not only a sign of time, but also a symbol of the rhythm of the city. Over time, the Clock House was renovated in 1896/97, and with the renovation itself in 1986 it was made and has a new purpose. In addition to the changing appearance, the old mechanism is also changing, which over time and the progress of technology has been completely replaced with a new electric mechanism that allows for precision and the right to operate. The clock tower is an example of craftsmanship and tradition. The massive stone blocks and wooden construction make it stable. The hexagonal base is rarely impressive, and the height gives it a dignified appearance. It is like a guardian of the bazaar - always present, always looking straight ahead, maintaining its authenticity, but at the same time stepping towards the future, it is a module of everyone's life, everyone's story. James the external architecture is the most visible, the structure hides its beauty. Inside, narrow spiral stairs rise, exactly 120 in number - which lead to the very top. Each step is like a journey through history, and from the top reveals the view of Prilep.

The Clock Tower is not only an architectural monument, but is part of the human life of the people of Prilep. The ticking of the clock is the rhythm of the city: it marks the beginning of the day, the events of the smiling passers-by, even the silence of the people. It is a witness to generations - from the merchants who tirelessly sell in the bazaar, to the students who pass by every day. For the people of Prilep, the Clock Tower is a symbol of pride, a symbol of perseverance, tradition and eternal identity. Everyone who sees the tower in Prilep as the first image of the city, the place is a landmark that makes Prilep unique and recognizable. When you stand in front of the Clock House, you feel that time has another, has a dimension. The clock is not just a mechanism - it is the heart of the city and with its ticking connects all residents and all tourists together.

Personally, for us, the Clock Tower is a place for reflection. When we look at it, we feel that time passes, but memories remain forever. It is evidence of our steps through the bazaar, of our meetings with our loved ones, of peaceful walks and constant friendship. It is part of each person's own story, just as it is part of the story of each councilor of Prilep. Our Clock Tower is a monument to all of us, to history and the future. With its height and beauty, with the right to knock and feel, it is an eternal, tireless guardian of the bazaar and the city. In every stone, in every tick, in every look at the tower, there is a part of our history and a part of our soul. Therefore, it is a living symbol of pride, pleasure and eternity in Prilep.
