We are Gerard, Jorge, Luca and Leo and for our project, we have chosen the medieval heritage of Valencia.

We have chosen it because at the beginning, we didn't know that Valencia had that amount of medieval heritage, but when we started to search for information for this project, we learnt that many buildings, traditions and festivals had their origin in this period.

On the other hand, we have discovered that for example the Cathedral of Valencia was built on top of a mosque after the Christian conquest of Valencia. In addition, the wall of Valencia is also from this period and nowadays we can see the Towers of Quart and Serrano which one day were part of this incredible wall.

Furthermore, there are festivals like "Moros y Cristianos", that are still being celebrated that were originally from the Middle Ages.

All of this heritage means a lot for us, because it helps us to understand our past and it is also an important tourist attraction for all the people around the world and an important part of the European history.

To sum up, this project has taught us the importance of our heritage and the importance of preserving it to learn more of our fascinating past.
