Representa la memoria de generaciones pasadas y nos permite comprender cómo hemos llegado a ser quienes somos hoy. Protegerlo significa valorar y conservar nuestras raíces para futuras generaciones.

English: For us, heritage is the collection of assets, traditions, and knowledge that connect us to our history and cultural identity. It represents the memory of past generations and allows us to understand how we have become who we are today. Protecting it means valuing and preserving our roots for future generations.

2. ¿Qué conoces sobre el patrimonio europeo? / What do you know about European heritage?
 

Español: El patrimonio europeo es muy diverso y refleja la historia compartida del continente. Incluye monumentos, ciudades antiguas, tradiciones, idiomas y costumbres que muestran la coexistencia de diferentes culturas y religiones a lo largo de los siglos. Europa tiene un patrimonio construido sobre intercambios culturales, conquistas y migraciones que han dejado huellas visibles en su arquitectura y en la vida diaria de sus habitantes.

English: European heritage is very diverse and reflects the shared history of the continent. It includes monuments, historic cities, traditions, languages, and customs that show the coexistence of different cultures and religions over the centuries. Europe’s heritage is built on cultural 
exchanges, conquests, and migrations that have left visible marks in its architecture and daily 
life.

3. ¿Qué historia europea puedes encontrar en el patrimonio que te rodea? / What European history can you find in the heritage around you?
 

Español: En el patrimonio que nos rodea, como en el caso de Onda, se puede observar la historia europea de la convivencia entre musulmanes, cristianos y judíos. Cada edificio, plaza y calle refleja las etapas históricas de conquistas, expulsiones y transformaciones culturales. Esta historia nos enseña cómo diferentes culturas han influido en la vida de la población y en la construcción de nuestra identidad local y europea.

English: In the heritage around us, as in the case of Onda, one can see the European history of coexistence between Muslims, Christians, and Jews. Every building, square, and street reflects the historical stages of conquests, expulsions, and cultural transformations. This history teaches us how different cultures have influenced the life of the population and the construction of our local and European identity.

4. ¿Qué es lo más interesante de tu patrimonio local?/ What is the most interesting aspect of your local heritage?
 

Español: Lo más interesante de nuestro patrimonio local es la mezcla de culturas que conviven en él. En Onda, podemos encontrar restos musulmanes en las calles del casco antiguo, iglesias cristianas que reflejan la religión predominante y referencias a la presencia judía en plazas y documentos históricos. Esta diversidad cultural deja una huella visible que nos permite aprender del pasado y apreciar la riqueza histórica y social de nuestra ciudad.
 

English: The most interesting aspect of our local heritage is the mix of cultures that coexist within it. In Onda, we can find Muslim remains in the streets of the old town, Christian churches reflecting the dominant religion, and references to the Jewish presence in squares and historical documents. This cultural diversity leaves a visible mark that allows us to learn from the past and appreciate the historical and social richness of our city.
