La llegada de los primeros surfistas a Mundaka supuso un punto de inflexión en nuestra localidad. Desde entonces, la forma de mirar al mar de las y los habitantes de Mundaka ha cambiado al mismo tiempo que la localidad ha ido integrando y finalmente haciendo suya la forma de contemplar el oleaje de los nuevos Jaun Zuriak. Mediante estos encuentros se pretende realizar una ligera reflexión sobre este hecho, poniéndonos figuradamente un traje de neopreno que actualmente no nos resulta tan desconocido.

The arrival of the first surfers to Mundaka was a turning point in our town. Since then, the way of looking at the sea of the inhabitants of Mundaka has changed at the same time that the town has been integrating and finally making its own the way of contemplating the waves of the new Jaun Zuriak. By means of these meetings we intend to make a slight reflection on this fact, figuratively putting on a wetsuit that nowadays is not so unknown to us.
