"Cultural Heritage as a trace in time"
Human civilization is so inspirational and so infinite and so unexplored. It returns us to the first days of fasting and the first people, in the exchange of thoughts, movements, words, speeches and expressions. Thanks to these first people, today we are all linked together by the common civilizational-cultural path and the dimension of this and that way. We share the same emotions today, fears, love, weaknesses and power of the human race. How did we reside and start our roadways? We could never have done anything ourselves. Only if we were connected and bound, together we could do everything, leaving traces of recollection of our own existence and achievements. It is this diversity through the corridors of memory that gives us the right to believe that we are connected with the original and impereshable values. Who was this individual who dared to leave the first traces and how we began to discover them, understand and expound? It is precisely this that lies in the power of the cultural heritage in the context of the traces and achievements. With the beginnings we began to discover and inhabit the landscapes of the area all around the globe, and so it is today. Our project included: Creation and distribution of 1000 postcards with motifs of cultural heritage from Montenegro and European capitals. A part of the postcards will be printed in the Braille letter and adapted to the blind people with a sound effect on the national anthem or famous melodies of European countries, Marking 40 years of catastrophic earthquake in Montenegro, Exhibition of photographs of cultural monuments created immediately after the earthquake in Montenegro and after their restoration, Venue: Old Town Kotor, Montenegro, Public History class in the Old Town of Bedem in Niksic for pupils of 2 primary schools from Niksic, Montenegro and Media and on-line campaigns
The cultural heritage in all its forms represents a civilization sequence in the expression of the human race. It is at the same time a proof that everything connects us the same source, the same root, offering a picture of the continuity in the origin, duration and development of the human species. Every touch and every contact with anything that has to do with the cultural heritage in us arouses mysticism and a sense of dignity on our own. Each epoch had its own forms of expression in architecture and aesthetics, as well as in specific products such as the antique tools, antique weapons, first coins and banknotes ... Everything is so connected and offers a clear picture of our interdependence and connectivity . It is precisely in this that lies the strength and importance of cultural heritage, as a link between us in the past, the present and the future. We only think of the sense of adapting our first people through the epochs and centuries. It is this context of spiritual and physical adaptation to the creative work in the form of concrete and first settlements. Step by step we gradually joined together while securing our own survival. The life of the human race is inseparable from the cultural heritage. And the exact traces that we encounter remind us of ourselves. How many times have we gone to arrive to this day and what awaits us together? Many people spent their whole lives searching for lost and missing civilizations. That is precisely the purpose of researching and searching for things, objects, lost clothes and cities. Let's just imagine the sense of pride and joy of an archaeologist before the discovery of a coin or drawings in some remote caves in inaccessible mountains ... In the days of writing this story in Montenegro, 40 years since the disastrous earthquake A catastrophic earthquake occurred on April 15, 1979 at 7:19 am, and it had a magnitude of seven degrees on the Richter scale, or nine degrees Merkali. The earthquake lasted ten seconds and was mostly felt along the Montenegrin and Albanian coast, severely damaging the old towns of Kotor, Budva, Herceg Novi, Bar and Ulcinj. 101 people died in the earthquake, while more than a thousand were injured, and about 80,000 people were left without a roof over their heads. Cultural and historical monuments - monasteries, churches and museums were particularly affected.
No European today should have a dilemma over the issue of further co-existence, coexistence and survival of the European Union. After all, it was the dream of many previous generations, and this commitment obliges us all to respect each other in their identity, but also to make us happy and joyful in the common values that we share. It is precisely the cultural heritage that is synonymous with unity and connectivity. Our strength is in our bonds. Whenever we were dissolved and when we turned our back on one another, it had devastating consequences for us. Cultural heritage revives the culture of memory, the culture of its own culturally-identity profile. We are confident that fortifications, fortresses, old towns, traces of the past in the form of first drawings, musical instruments, national costumes make us proud of the common heritage as a civilization connection and the necessity for a long progress. It is our obligation to protect, preserve, promote, present, valorize the common cultural heritage on behalf of the first people and all of their followers, to ourselves and future generations to come. Touch with, say, the law of 12 tables or personal encounters and a view of the Roman colossus, or the arrival in Old town Bedem in Nikšić, from where I come from, awakens in all of us the feeling of admiration and respect. Cultural and natural heritage is certainly a multi-dimensional and much important area of essential importance for understanding among peoples, peace, democracy, development and cooperation. Whether they want it or not, they talk about our borders as individuals or societies. In this sense, cultural heritage presents the creations in which human history is written and the image is human ideas and actions. For this reason it is necessary to take steps towards protecting, preserving and improving the accessibility of the heritage, especially to young people, in order to raise awareness of its value, the need to maintain and preserve it, as well as the benefits that result from it or may result. In this way, it is possible to respect civilizational and European values, as well as to develop awareness of belonging to the European Community in the context of a unique and wider cultural space. In this way, it is possible to respect civilizational and European values, as well as to develop awareness of belonging to the European Community in the context of a unique and wider cultural space. The practice of protecting cultural heritage points to the need for continuous monitoring as well as upgrading of new knowledge in the highly sensitive area of multifaceted threats to cultural heritage, which imposes activities in the direction of conservation and coordination in cultural cooperation through the Geneva initiatives but also institutional forms through the EU and UNESCO. Preserving and promoting cultural diversity is one of the basic principles of the EU so that, in addition to cultural heritage, it is necessary to preserve its natural environment, biodiversity and diversity of the spiritual present, past and future. The European dimension of our story consists in the fact that we have planned to create a minimum of 1000 postcards of which a minimum of 100 in the Braille letter with motifs of cultural heritage of Europe that we will distribute in at least 20 European countries. Each postcard will have a clear message on its back that we want to send to Europeans about the importance of protecting and preserving cultural heritage.
