Italy is a collective heritage of knowledge, a meeting point for many Mediterranean civilizations and the cradle of numerous artistic movements that have made one of Europe's most flourishing cultural center since ancient times. Life for everyone is a gift, but growing up in Italy is the luck of growing up in one of the richest countries in cultural, natural and historical beauties (intangible heritage). It was natural for us to think about sharing, protecting and enhancing the Italian artistic heritage thus accepting the invitation promoted throughout article 9 of the Italian Constitution, but shared every day by thousands of European citizens. In compliance with these objectives (sharing, protecting, enhancing) we have created the ART AND GO mobile app, already available for free for Android and IoS devices in 24 languages: Italian, English, French, Catalan, Czechoslovak, Danish, Finnish, German , Hindi, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese (simple and traditional), Japanese, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Arabic, Greek, Hebrew, Korean. Breaking the linguistic distance was the first welcoming tool in Italy; thousands of schedules translated into many idioms, thousands and thousands of information accessible to all in a simple and clear way. Art and Go is automatically installed in the language of the device in a simple and agile way respecting the European privacy regulation GDPR; transform the smartphone into a travel, knowledge and culture tool with low internet bandwidth consumption. If a friend comes, drive him by the hand and lead him to visit our cities, we will whisper the legends, we would indicate churches and museums, we would take him to visit the excavations and the fossil in Sicily Greek or Roman wreck: this is Italy and these are the Italians! Our ART AND GO application was created to share information useful for the active visit of all places of culture, because there is a need to have simple information that consent to know and understand the place and context in which it is located. The knowledge of history and traditions, experiencing the beauty and charm of places must not be the preserve of only a few, but must be a sharing that involves all citizens of all backgrounds, ethnicities and social, cultural and financial levels. Language is certainly one of the first tools to overcome differences. Thousands of icons are available on the map and distinguished by type. Art and Go is not an enciclopedia; it is a practical and immediate guide, as is your friend, your fellow student who takes you for a path in your city and who decides with you to visit a church, a castle, a gallery, an art gallery, an archaeological excavation, a UNESCO site, a village and much more. The cultural artistic heritage must be protected and enhanced: with ART AND Go, it is possible to raise funds with civic crowdfunding for cultural artistic projects (e.g., restorations, audio guides, etc.). Even giving is a common, shareable project and crowdfunding is a democratic and culturally shared tool, which generates not only economic but participatory and educational value, expressed in a civic sense. We have all told the local legends to friends, to tourists, even our application narrates this intangible heritage entrusted to the oral tradition of the elderly and lost history books. These stories are also related only to city places, but also to nature. Art and Go is also gradually integrating these enchanted places, that a good right belongs to the natural heritage of a people, a nation. In a simple way, Art and GO tells the Italian territory in its beauty and variety by collecting a mapping of information relating to: civil, fortified and industrial architecture, archives, archaeological areas, libraries, villages, castles, cathedrals, churches, cottages, lighthouses, fountains, commemorative plaques, madonnellas, votive shrines, monuments, funerary monuments, Museums and crops, Italian Defense Museums , archaeological and historical interest parks, walks, ready, wells, wrecks, shrines, street art, theaters, towers, UNESCO sites, Villas, legenda/novels (from the summary of the legend of the app). Our sources are public data certified or provided by the Sopraintendenze, by the Ministry of Defense, by Prof. Sebastiano Tusa, a friend and mentor who died prematurely, a world-renowned archaeologist. Almost two years have passed since we released the first version and our commitment continues with enthusiasm both in mapping new monuments (over 10,000 currently), sharing with users (over 3,000) of all nationalities, as well as studying and search for new features and information. Having created an immediate cultural communication tool such as Art and Go has made us better and every day spurs us to perfect ourselves and to look to Europe as the next goal. We are happy to have accompanied citizens from the main European countries and the United States to discover our country makes us proud and excites us: thank you!

We believe in shared knowledge: knowledge of places, history, nature, legends of places. Knowledge must be easily accessible and understandable.We have chosen to create a tool, such as ART AND GO, an application that uses devices commonly in use (smartphones and tablets) with low internet bandwidth consumption (can also use Wi-Fi points) to make information accessible on thousands of sites such as museums, churches, excavations, wrecks, etc., useful for visiting these places. The information refers to times, closings, costs, addresses, descriptions, services and are updated in real time. We have reduced the linguistic distance by translating the application into 24 languages. Sharing, enhancing and protecting the artistic heritage can be done through knowledge and civic crowdfunding for the collection of funds for protection projects (e.g. restoration). Art and Go is simple, it speaks the language of ordinary people who want to discover the places in front of them.
