With the arrival of the Paris-Brest railway line in 1857 and the installation of the 70th Infantry Regiment in 1874, new districts were created to the south and east of the medieval town. It was in this context that the construction of the church of Saint-Martin began in 1883 in a neo-Romanesque style. A major restoration project for the dome and lantern is launched at the end of August for a period of about 8 months.
