The tower-fortress of Santa Ponça is a BIC ("good of cultural interest" in spanish) located within a private residential area. This guided tour will allow us to visit the outside of the building and get to know its interior. Through the explanations of Ángel Aparicio i Pasqual, president of the Grup d'Estudi de les Fortificacions Balears (GEFB), we will learn about the history of the tower-fortress, its architectural and functional characteristics, as well as many other curiosities.

From the Consell de Mallorca, we propose to bring you closer to a part of our historical heritage, through three groups that selflessly look after it: the group of "Estudi de les Fortificacions Balears" (GEFB), the "Associació d'Amics dels Molins de Mallorca" and the "Associació d'Amics del Ferrocarril de les Illes Balears" (AAFIB). Therefore, these days in 2020 are dedicated to coastal towers and fortifications, windmills and railway heritage.
