MUSICAL CARPENTRY
Music, culture and our language, the Basque language, were taught until recently in a clandestine manner, and always in the context of a non-regulated education. For years, Jose Mari Egileor taught
music in his woodwork. Today that place is a restaurant and its only grandson, Tomás, manages it. The bar restaurant is decorated with songs, instruments and materials of his deceased grandfather.
We must thank Jose Mari Egileor for what he did for the village, as followsthat through this day we will have the opportunity to make him a small tribute, holding a musical colloquium where they will explain
the details of this form of education. We will have a projectionn of photographs of Jose Mari at the site of the old carpentry shop, while his son Zorion Egileor will liven up the evening with music. Also attending their students, who today are responsible for and participate in the groups cultural activities of the town.
