Plentzia has an undeniable maritime vocation, the result of centuries of relationship between the population and the sea. Not in vain, his nautical school was one of the most important in Bizkaia at least since the 18th century. Today, the Plasentia Museum in Butron has recovered and exhibits numerous objects related to the history of Plentzia in general and with navigation in particular (models, votive offerings, photographs, instruments...). Through the exhibition itself and with the help of guided tours, we can rediscover the ancient knowledge of navigation.
