WORKING WITH THE PAST - An online festival of history, drama and music.

During the week of the EHOD 2021 6-12 September, Lough Neagh Partnership, Craic Theatre, Coalisland Clonoe Comhaltas and Coalisland & District Development Association will be joining together to give everyone a unique, online insight into the industrial history and working lives of the people of East Tyrone. The videos will be available on Facebook and Youtube. Viewers will be able to enjoy four new original video dramas (called “The Stable Boys Tale”, “The Lock-keeper’s Wife”, “The Coalminer’s Tale” and “The Weaver’s Tale”) written for the Craic Theatre by Mark Shields. In addition, a special performance will be recorded in the Coalisland Museum & Heritage Centre, by local Comhaltas musicians. These events are part of the project “Coalisland & East Tyrone: Historical Manufacturing Base of Mid-Ulster”, being delivered by Lough Neagh Partnership, with grant aid from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and further support from Mid Ulster District Council.
