The central event of the project is planting of the linden tree seedlings. This tree is traditionally connected with the French heritage in the town of Petrinja and planted in the memory of the French-Croatian connections thus uniting the cultural (horticultural) heritage and the environmental awareness of the importance of preserving the endangered plant species (linden tree). It is a symbolic representation of the awareness inextricability of the environmental and cultural segments, and of the need to emphasise the value of a town in province of a great cultural and historical importance, as well as to express the support to the town that was recently severely affected by the earthquake.
