Nuestro pueblo, a lo largo de su historia, para conseguir objetivos mancomunados imposibles de lograr en el ámbito individual y para cumplir sus necesidades o expectativas, ha recurrido a organizaciones públicas y asociaciones para la ayuda mutua, basadas en pautas de comportamiento solidario o colaborativo, tales como cofradías vecinales, hermandades ganaderas, hermandades contra incendios o escuelas comunales. Del mismo modo, ha habido personas comprometidas con el cuidado de los bienes públicos y el patrimonio: monjas, mayordomos, guardabosques… A pesar de que muchos de ellos se han ido perdiendo desde finales del siglo pasado, sus conocimientos y filosofía han perdurado hasta nuestros días, definiendo nuestra identidad como pueblo.

Throughout its history, our people, in order to achieve joint objectives that were impossible to achieve individually and to meet their needs or expectations, have resorted to public organisations and associations for mutual aid, based on patterns of solidarity or collaborative behaviour, such as neighbourhood brotherhoods, livestock brotherhoods, fire-fighting brotherhoods or community schools. Similarly, there have been people committed to the care of public property and heritage: nuns, stewards, foresters... Although many of them have been lost since the end of the last century, their knowledge and philosophy have survived to the present day, defining our identity as a people.
