Profesionales del taller LOITZ CERÁMICA (Deusto, Bilbao) nos mostrarán las herramientas y técnicas de elaboración de diferentes tipos de cerámica, desde la terra sigillata romana hasta la cerámica tradicional vasca. Con esta colaboración, mostraremos cómo el conocimiento de las técnicas alfareras se ha transmitido de generación en generación, aun inconscientemente, constituyendo parte de un patrimonio inmaterial que se materializa hoy en día en forma de objetos. Después, las personas visitantes podrán ver en las salas del museo la evolución de técnicas y usos de este material a lo largo de nuestra historia.

Professionals from the LOITZ CERÁMICA workshop (Deusto, Bilbao) will show us the tools and techniques used to make different types of pottery, from Roman terra sigillata to traditional Basque pottery. With this collaboration, we will show how the knowledge of pottery techniques has been passed down from generation to generation, even unconsciously, constituting part of an intangible heritage that is materialised today in the form of objects. Afterwards, visitors will be able to see the evolution of techniques and uses of this material throughout our history in the rooms of the museum.
