If you are travelling on a route along the Wild Atlantic Way, through the western counties of Sligo, Galway, Clare and Kerry, why not connect with our monastic heritage via this network of OPW sites. Join a guided tour with our knowledgeable OPW guides. Hear the stories of the saints and sinners that walked these paths before you and view the wealth of medieval carvings on display within. Search for the additional carved features of knots, inverted heads, griffins, wyverns, and a green man, which can be found on several of these special sites. Extra events, access to some unguided sites as well as guided tours available during Heritage Week.

Guided tours available daily at: Sligo Abbey, Ennis Friary, Scattery Island, Ardfert Cathedral & Skellig Michael.
