Held in the historic Old Schoolhouse, this celebration will delve into the Celtic tradition of Lughnasa and feature enchanting traditional harvest stories and practices shared by members of the Indian, Ukrainian, and Afghan communities residing in Tallanstown.

The Louth Urban Food Sanctuary (LUFS) was launched in October 2023. This innovative project aims to help to mitigate against the increasing challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss and the rising cost of living by empowering Louth’s citizens with the skills to improve sustainability by developing our local food resilience. The project leads, Louth County Council, have partnered with Creative Spark and will be working with local people to develop a community garden.

The core proposition is that participation in cultural activity drives personal collective creativity, with significant implications for individual and societal well being and achievement.
