Minecraft, popular with children worldwide (including Ireland), is recognised as a video game with a strong educational element. Players engage in the construction of a virtual universe and Irish elements have been created such as Bunratty Castle and Ringforts. “Minecraft Meanderings” will be a table quiz event consisting of six rounds of six questions for teams of four and will incorporate some specifically Irish questions. Team members to be aged between 6 and 12 and to submit a clever team name to the library in advance. Wearing of Minecraft t-shirts, hats and show of memorabilia etc welcome. Prizes for the top scoring teams. One round will include questions on Ireland and Minecraft
