As part of the 2024 National Heritage Week Blayney Blades will take 50 women to re-engage with the local history of Monaghan’s famous poet Patrick Kavanagh. The Kavanagh Centre preserves, interprets and celebrates the life and works of Patrick Kavanagh and the surrounding environment through collections, exhibitions, research and events that embrace the area’s evolution and spirit. This will give the women an opportunity to see first-hand the Interactive Exhibition Space in Inniskeen. We will do the guided bus tour along the Kavanagh Trail in Inninskeen as well as the Patrick Kavanagh Centre Experience.
