This will be an illustrated introduction to the amazing story of Matthew (Ted) Guinan who as a nineteen year old left Geashill and emigrated to America in 1929. He would rise from the position of trolley operator on the New York transport system to International President of the Transport Workers Union. He shared the political stage with American Presidents and Civil Rights leaders of the 1960s and 70s. Funded by Creative Ireland Community Grant Scheme 2024.
