This event will include a demonstration by Blacksmith Stephen Quinn, who will be working at his mobile forge and an exhibition of photographs by those involved in the Westmeath Wrought Iron Gates Project. 11:30am - 12:30 - An illustrated talk by Shem Caulfield, who has surveyed many gates around the country and is facilitating the Westmeath Wrought Iron Gates Project. Shem will outline the history and heritage significance of wrought iron Gates. He will also share some tips for conserving wrought iron gates.
