To celebrate Heritage Week 2024, and in recognition of Community Heritage funding received for a Conservation Management Plan for St Cronán's, we are giving a guided tour of this 10th century church. This is a most historic building, believed to be the only church in Ireland in continuous use for over 1000 years. It is an important part of the area's rich royal heritage with its links to King Brian Ború and the Uí Bhriain Clan. The event will start with a short audio visual presentation explaining the church's history followed by a tour of the interior and exterior examining the architectural features of this fascinating heritage building.
