CAF Culture, art and heritage. It is around these three notions that the rehabilitation project of the former Fontmaure hospital was articulated. Residential school, nursing home, military hospital then high place of neurosurgery in Auvergne, Fontmaure is today a space dedicated to Culture that makes a new face with a new name the FAC. L'Espace muséal Within this new space, the public can discover or rediscover both this emblematic place of the city and the magnificent collection it houses. Located on the ground floor of the FAC the museum space Victor Charreton gathers 32 works of the artist (from the donation of Robert Chatin nephew of Victor Charreton to the city of Chamalières in 2012), to which are added loans of paintings by the painter in the Salon d'Honneur. The museum space Victor Charreton hosts a permanent exhibition around the seasons where the visitor is invited to walk among the landscapes made by the one who could be defined as painter of nature.
