Created at origin by 18 riding associations of war veterans resistant or deported, the museum, inaugurated in 1989 in a former school, posts(shows) memories(souvenirs) collected by the very protagonists. Commemorative site, this institution lives(remains) sensitive by tackled(approached) themes, resistance and deportation, and especially by active presence of the witnesses(batons) of this history(story). The museum suggests today continuing and developing missions that had settled the founders: make known about the present and future generations actions(shares) led by resistance and drama of deportation, keep(preserve) the memory of those who have by their sacrifice contributed to freedom, to develop a centre of study and of documentation. Current(In class) researches(searches) should light(enlighten) the fundamental(basic) action(share) of boatmen's networks in Pyrenees and their relations with the Spanish networks.
