Aperçu
Built in 1489 on the site of the former Romanesque cathedral and completed in 1680, it is considered one of the last Gothic cathedrals in France. The facade (16th-17th centuries) perfectly illustrates its different architectural styles (Gothic, Renaissance and Classical). Inside, the 18 glass windows of Arnaut de Moles (16th century), the 113 choir stalls carved in oak (16th century) and the large organ of Jean de Joyeuse (17th century) constitute the masterpieces of the building. Since 1998, the cathedral has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the Ways of Santiago de Compostela in France.
