Aperçu

The Maritime and Port Museum presents on three levels the history of the port of Dunkirk from the seventeenth century to the present day through its rich collections. A place of learning and initiation par excellence, the museum is located in the Citadelle district in Dunkirk, the heart of port activity for centuries. It is located in a former tobacco warehouse built in 1869, in front of which is an exceptional naval heritage: the fire ship Sandettié, the majestic three-masted Duchesse Anne and the barge Guilde. In the permanent course, on board ships or at the Risban lighthouse, the team welcomes you, guides you and accompanies you for an immersion in the maritime and port universe.
